Here’s a rundown of my working life.

Bona fides: editing; proofreading; reporting; interviewing; developing and carrying voices of brands; naming products; telling compelling stories with words and images; deftly juggling multiple projects with competing due dates; strategic and conceptual thinking; and collaborating with everyone involved with a project to see it through, from start to finish. Oh, and I’ve also been a background actor (Marty Supreme, 2025; Caught Stealing, 2025).

Today, I head up Used Kids Records’ Hype Division (marketing, communications, booking, storytelling, social media, etc.). Established in 1986 in Columbus, Ohio, and 100% independently owned and operated, Used Kids Records (UKR) is a bona fide Midwest institution and a cultural beacon for music lovers of all ages and tastes. UKR offers the deepest selection of new and used vinyl, CDs and cassettes in Central Ohio. It’s the place to dig for days, hang out with friends and discover something new or pick up an old favorite.

As UKR's Hype Division Director I work in lockstep with UKR owner, Greg Hall, to make the renowned shop a stronger magnet for music fans the world over. From social media strategy/execution, press outreach and website copy to creating retail signage/verbiage, in-store events/concerts booking, and customer interaction, I help develop and share the ongoing story of Used Kids Records in the most dynamic ways that I — and our staff — can create.
